About Us
Welcome to Seshu’s Tiffinbox!
Tiffinbox is a blog that explores the cultural fabric of the South Asian diaspora through photography, writing, art and design. Tiffinbox is most often a venue for hard-hitting photo exhibits by South Asian image makers or by photographers living and working in South Asia.
We also throw the spotlight on writers, designers and artists with a direct or oblique connection to South Asia. When bandwidth permits it
we’ll open things up for musicians and film makers as well.
Meanwhile, if you know of any photographers, writers, artists or designers please have them contact us.
What’s a "tiffinbox"?
Well, it’s a container [a glorified lunch-box] used widely in India to conveniently carry yummy food to work, school or a picnic.
Our Tiffinbox hopes to be a feast for your eyes and mind. We’ll promise to feed you only small, healthy spoonfuls of information.
What’s with the logo?
The logo depicts Seshu as a dabbawallah resting on a tiffinbox. Seshu in real life doesn’t wear a topi. IfI you are nterested in sporting this logo on a t-shirt? Contact us!
Who is behind Tiffinbox?
Seshu, a documentary wedding & portrait photographer based in Connecticut works behind the scenes to gather, link and publish information that you might find interesting as well.
