Commercial radio stations in the US really stink. So for some relief, I have turned my attention to podcasts which can be described as radio on-demand; a TiVo for your ears – where you decide when and what you will listen to next. Using Apple's iTunes 4.9 [for the Mac or PC] one can freely tune into a wide array of programs online and download them to your favorite MP3 player. I'll introduce you to the ones I listen to one-by-one. You when you see the following icon next to any podcast listing, you will know that you can listen to it or download it. First up is BoxScoreRadio. The content can be a tad bit explicit but my friend Sean Hintz, who produces it with John Broder, assures me that it is all in good humor. Sports fans will especially enjoy the banter and interviews.
