GORE SET TO CLOSE ON TV DEAL
Former Vice President Al Gore and business partner Joel Hyatt will pay around $70 million to Vivendi Universal this week for digital-cable channel Newsworld International, which they plan to convert into a youth-oriented public-affairs channel.
