Kiran Desai, author of The Inheritance of Loss, is the youngest woman to win the Man Booker prize. I do hope this love-fest for Indian authors never ebbs. Ultrabrown and Sepia Mutiny have their own salutes to her.

Hey Seshu,
I’ve been using Lightroom for a while now and find it to be very powerful. As I’ve learned more about the various “develop” tools, I’ve begun to use them more and more. It hasn’t really changed my overall workflow in terms of RAW->Print, but it has simplified some of the steps and given me control in others. The beta progression has been nice and there have been improvements in every beta. I haven’t used Aperature, but from what I can tell, Lightroom lacks some of the cool views like the lightbox, etc, but I’m very used to starring my photos in multiple iterations to give me a ranking of my photos from a given shoot or event. I’m definitely looking forward to the final version of Lightroom and plan to buy it.
Also, the interface on the Nikon stunning site is very cool…a nice way to showcase the work of many photogs in one go.
