Former UN Chief Photographer John Isaac has turned his cameras towards birds, butterflies and bison. Well, more specifically he shoots wildlife now as over a 30-year career he became “… heartsick of human tragedy.” Dirk Halstead writes an understated introduction to Isaac's exhibit on The Digital Journalist. Some very fine photography indeed.
Photo District News Debuts A Blog … Now Name It!
Photo District News‘s student site PDNedu launched a blog that is full of promise. Help them name their blog and you could win a Nikon digital camera. My suggestions were: Pixel8d and LightChasers.
One of the bloggers of this new site, Jeff Curto, invites photographers to submit work for an open critique. It would make for some great exposure should your image get chosen [sorry, couldn't resist!]. Just be open to positive criticism.

Why aren't women on the other side of the camera making great images? Actually, they are. And some of them got their due recently at a Lalit Kala Academi sponsored photo exhibit.
