Going to a trade show and conference like WPPI, in Las Vegas, is no gamble. Take my word for it. I have been and it's truly an awesome experience. It's a great opportunity to meet friends whom you have only “met” online, or vendors whose new products you want to check out first-hand. But, yes, it can get expensive, and that's where Tiffinbox is hoping to help you.
Thanks to Fundy SOS, two lucky readers of Tiffinbox will receive passes to go to WPPI 2011. The mega conference for photographers runs from February 17 – 24, 2011.
Will that be YOU? How badly do you want to go?
Here is how you could win one of two passes:
1) Tell us in the comments WHY you would want to win? What do you expect to get out of this awesome gathering of wedding and portrait photographer?
2) Tweet this: “I just posted a comment on Tiffinbox.org, for a chance to win a trip to @RFWPPI 2011. Thanks to @FundySOS + @PicSeshu! Please RT”
3) Tag @Fundy SOS in Facebook when you post a little blurb about this contest on your own wall
Now, the rules:
If you win, you should be able to go. Obvious, right? So, if you can't go, please let us know right away.
What you are going to win is a full registration pass ($199-259 value). The only stipulations are that MASTER Classes are NOT included and that you have to stay at the MGM Grand Hotel. Read this description of what is included in your WPPI registration pass.
Airfare, gambling chips, food and other entertainment expenses are NOT included. All that is on you. Cool?
Now, let's play. Get those comments coming. Andrew Funderburg of Fundy SOS will pick a winner among those who have left a comment and Tweeted the message on February 1.

I want to win cause I’ve made a lot of friends at wppi that I only get to see once a year and this would help make coming easier.
Missy B. says
I am the only one out of my 3 roommates at MGM who hasn’t won tickets! I’m stressing out trying to find someone to share with…PLEASE help me not be the only one only going to the tradeshow! :-)

I just tweeted, I hope to win. I got to go two years ago and learned sooo much.
Thanks for the chance! Mishone @studioone :)

I need to go…. I’ve never gone before and you all should meet me….

This has been an amazing year for me in terms of photography workshops (Cliff Mautner, PPE, PPA Tour) and increasing my business and sales. I’m in the process of determining if I have what it takes to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time portrait photographer. So, saving money is key this year, but also pursing the opportunity to learn more about photography and the business of photography, along with expanding my network, and meeting all the great folks I’ve interacted with on Twitter this year too. That, plus I entered 2 images into the print competition – first time ever, so it would be cool to be there as well to see how they do. Thanks for a chance.

Good luck to all those that participate!

I have never been to WPPI! I just started my business last year! I already have my ticket and hotel reservation! Now all I need is registration!! Why do I want to go. I want to LEARN. I want to be taught be the masters! I want to come away with my head near exploding with good ideas, great products and new techniques! I want to network with other photogs! Really, truly I want this so bad!!! This is me, begging you, to enlighten my mind by awarding me the free registration!!!

Tweeted and fb posted! Now for this post, you have to sing it to the tune of Jingle Bells
I found a blog contest
That hit me like a drum
For going to a place
I hear is lots of fun.
Meet Becker and J-star
Photogs from near and far
But if I win should I travel there by airplane or by car?
OH! Las vegas, Las vegas, I want to go so bad
So many things to learn there and fun times are to be had
OH! Las Vegas, Las vegas I need some inspiration
To boost morale, make new friends, and get some education!
Economic times are tough
The money tree I just can’t grow
So if I don’t win this thing
It’s a financial blow
But my hopes are very high
At least I’ll give a try
And if I win it will be the happy tears I cry!

I just want to go out and meet more photographers and play with any new toys at the trade show. Seeing Jerry speak is always inspiring and I always learn at least 10 things from Kevin Kubota so it would be awesome to just be able to see everyone I’ve learned from and want to learn from in one place.

I would love to win this. I made a last minute decision to go to WPPI and the cost is adding up very quickly! I am also an organizer of the Nashville Photography Meetup Group where we have over 700 members, and I feel that I will be able to bring back a lot of valuable information to share with them about products and vendors.

I am just getting into wedding photography and am still learning everyday. My passion is to become a great wedding photographer. I am sure, I can bring back some of the experiences that I gain at WPPI event. I am willing to travel to this event if won.

I would love to be able to win. I am trying to figure out how to get there on a tight budget and this would help out a ton!!! So many great classes to learn from and really want to network and meet some new friends!

Oh Sin City, where you can drink at beer at 8am with out a single strange look, snarf down greasy eggs at the Denny’s while watching the sun come, listen to the symphony that is the slots eating your coins, maybe catch a show, see a tiger, or David Copperfield.
But who needs all that when you’ve got WPPI? Hang out with friends, network with some of the best talent around, impromptu photo shoots, great learning opportunities, one of the best tradeshows to experience.
It’s a shot of inspiration and fun all wrapped up a glittery package. A perfect way to start your year off!
I also would very much like to escape the cold. And did I mention the snow?
What a fun contest, thanks to Fundy & Seshu :)
ps. I vote for Alicia and her clever song!!!

I think I should win because last year was my first year going and I didn’t take any classes, this year I’ll be going and ready to take my NOW full time photography business to the next level with your help.
Thanks

I would love to win because 2010 was a rough year, I lost my mother and grandmother and with their loss a lot of my confidence in myself and my abilities to sustain my business were lost as well. I am going into 2011 trying to hold my head up high and dream big and expect great things, but the wind is still so easily knocked out of my sails. Winning registration to WPPI would be a nice pick me up and would be a great way to get this year started right.

I am going in to 2011 trying to hold my head up high and dream large and expect great things, but the wind is still so basically knocked out of my sails.
