A couple of days back I wrote about how the power of images is shifting public opinion. Here is the promised link to the Deborah Norville Tonight show's transcript.
According to the DNT show three images have set the tone of this war in Iraq. What do you think?
I still don't get it why a photojournalist wasn't asked to be on the May 11 panel.

I agree. But I think the Economist Cover Page depicting a soldier with wires stuck to his body and his face covered with a black hood is also a powerful picture that also depicts the course of the war.

Can the “defining” moments of an event (a war, in this case) be so quickly decided? Isn’t it for historians (or journalists) to suggest what defined the war? I suspect, with the war being far from over, there will be many more powerful images. I am not sure if they can all be called “defining.” Thanks Divya.

I am a photojournalist student. We need to have these pictures posted. The government must be accounted for. The people must see the transperency of our government.
