Testing a program called SWFn'SLIDE by Vertical Moon. The slide show you see above is the result of some heavy tweaking. The images themselves need to be rescanned. Do you all see the slide show? Are the transitions smooth? Would you like to see more of these slide shows?

Yes, yes and yes :) Why do you have to have them rescanned?

Why rescan? Well, the images themselves look crappy (in my eyes). But thanks for your comments. I suspect those still on dial-up modems will hate me for it; each of these slide shows is a hefty 250k (or more). If you know of ways to optimize Flash content, please do let me know. I have thought of making these slide shows smaller, but then you couldn’t really see much. It’s all a trade-off in the end.

Well I actually have about 0 experience with Flash. Maybe brushing up those picture optimizing skills would be greater help? If you’re using Photoshop then you can get away with compressing .jpg-s around 50% (I prefer 60% if I can). Other solution is to pick pictures that compress better ie images with lots of uniform colour and soft transformations (as opposed to ripplying water or trees with lot’s of leaves).

Sound advice Teller. I am doing a search on the Internet to see if there are any tutorials to better compress these .swf files. If everyone had broadband, this wouldn’t be an issue.
