My brother-in-law sent me this link and I was really amazed at how things have progressed in India. Tamil rap? Well, we have had that for some time but these guys sound (and might I add, look) like rappers out of Compton. Their sound and look at times is reminiscent of Bone Thugs~n~Harmony, one of my favorite rap groups.

I just heard Yogi B. & Natachtra’s “Madai Thiranthu!” I am completely impressed and excited about this group. They are the real deal!! As an Afro-Indo, having grown up in the U.S. and also spent lots of time with family in Trinidad, they appeal and connect at so many levels. It is deep. I’ll be spreading the word about this group. Also, Sasi The Don is crackin’ too ;-)
